Georgia-Cumberland Conference Pathfinder Camporee 2011
On April 14, 2011, approximately 1450 people gathered at Cohutta Springs in Georgia for the conference-wide Pathfinder campout. The next day, strong winds blew over canopies and tents and torrential rains that evening soaked tents and caused flooding that sent several clubs home and drove more people to sleep in the gym and cabins. In spite of that, things dried out on Sabbath and those who stayed were blessed. There were lots of activities to participate in on Friday, including "Jacob's ladder," a sack race, and a canoe ride. On Sunday, three members of our group participated in the 2.5-mile Steeplechase Fun Run, and staff member Tammy Mapes took first place in the "Female staff" category!
